Even though Otsego JV and Allegan both had their opportunities, it was Allegan that eventually prevailed 5-4 on Friday. The game was tied at three with Allegan batting in the bottom of the fifth when Kohl Tourangeau singled off of Derek Ward, driving in one run.

Otsego took an early lead in the first inning. Otsego scored one run when Daniel Weirick singled with one out in the first inning.

Jason Macherzac earned the win for Allegan. He went two innings, surrendering two runs, four hits, striking out two, and walking one. Derek Ward took the loss for Otsego. He pitched five innings, allowing five runs, nine hits, striking out three, and walking one.

Otsego had eight hits in the game. Fab Gaines and Josh Sunnerville each collected multiple hits for Otsego. Weirick, Gaines, and Austin Moore each drove in one run to lead Otsego.

Allegan collected nine hits. Jayden Smith and Jack Mankin each collected multiple hits for Allegan.
