After last week's tight 3-2 loss at Vicksburg, the girls wanted to get back to their winning ways. The Sturgis team in front of them was Junior heavy, full of experience, and much more sizable than our Bulldogs. Despite those factors, the Bulldogs set out to prove that skill and connectivity within a team prevail.

Going into halftime 2-1 up from two Raygen Meurer goals felt good, but at the same time like it could be a much wider gap. Otsego came out in the second half flying and Aleyca Morey put home her first two goals of the season on the 45 and 49 minute marks. Meurer completed her hat trick an hour into the match, putting her team up 5-1 and the match out of reach. After providing an assist on Meurer's second goal of the night, Maddy Farmer capped the night off with two late goals. 

7-1 would be the scoreline on the night, and seemed just about right given the disparity in time of possession and shots on goal (15-2). A solid performance from our young team, and a lot of second half positives to take into the next week of training!
