A dominant goal fest broke out at Bulldog Stadium last Wednesday. Otsego went into the break leading 7-1 on the back of two first half hat tricks, one from VerHage and one from Kitchen. McKenzie Milton added a goal in the first half to go with her 2 assists. Alison Diller also had 2 assists, and Faith Miller and Cait Kitchen each chipped in with a helper as well.
Sturgis got on the board with 2 minutes left in the first half with a sizzling direct kick over the wall and into the roof of the net, but the match had been decided by that point. It was to be a nice consolation prize to be heading home with. In the second frame the Bulldogs marched out and scored 2 minutes in as Kitchen tallied her 4th of the night banging home a loose ball inside 12 yards. The night ended four minutes later as Ambreanna Powell, who played the first half in goal for the Dawgs, hammered home a Hannah Gagneur knock down on a corner kick.
Otsego allowed only 4 shots on the night, and were very stingy defensively, as is becoming their trademark.
