The Bulldogs opened up the Comstock Park Invitational with a bang, shutting out Fremont 3-0. Otsego out-shot the Packers 14-2, with Jayden Dentler recording 2 saves to give him three and a half shutouts on the year. Jerin Jameson scored midway through the first half from a flick on header by Jakson Dentler. The Dawgs were, at times, a bit sloppy with their passing and had to work hard in the unusual late September heat to regain the ball. The match went into halftime with that being the focus.
Otsego came out to play in the second half, and kept their ball movement efficient and tight. 10 minutes in Junior Captain Josh Loll stole the ball from a Fremont player, drove to the top of the 18, and buried a goal to put his team up 2-0. The Dawgs added one more very late on a Keegan Timmerman goal assisted by Freshman Jakson Dentler, with another flick on header through the back line and into the path of his strike partner.
